Shrimp and Grits with Jambalaya Girl Gumbo Base February 03 2020

Shrimp and Grits

Makes 4 servings


½ cup Gumbo Mix

2 cups seafood stock

1 lb. shrimp

½ cup half and half

4 tbsp butter

2 cups trinity mix (celery, onion, bell pepper)



In a deep skillet, cook trinity vegetable mix and butter.

Add shrimp, continue to cook, stirring occasionally.

Add half and half and bring to a simmer.

In a separate bowl, whisk gumbo mix and stock.

Add gumbo mixture to pan.

Reduce heat to medium-low and continue simmering 30 minutes.

Serve over grits or cheese grits.
