Yes! You can cook jambalaya in the slow cooker. However, you would just add the rice mix in at the end so it does not overcook. Here are the instructions:
- Place pre-sliced chicken and sausage and water (or chicken broth) in slow cooker (same amount as recommended on package).
- Cook on HIGH for 3.5 hours or on LOW for 7.5 hours.
- After the meat is cooked, stir in Jambalaya Rice Mix and cover. Cook 30 minutes longer on HIGH or until rice is tender.
Or if you want a short cut, just get a rotisserie chicken and smoked sausage and you'll only need to follow the final step.
