Slow Cooker Jambalaya Instructions February 01 2016

Yes! You can cook jambalaya in the slow cooker. However, you would just add the rice mix in at the end so it does not overcook. Here are the instructions:
  • Place pre-sliced chicken and sausage and water (or chicken broth) in slow cooker (same amount as recommended on package).
  • Cook on HIGH for 3.5 hours or on LOW for 7.5 hours.
  • After the meat is cooked, stir in Jambalaya Rice Mix and cover. Cook 30 minutes longer on HIGH or until rice is tender.
Or if you want a short cut, just get a rotisserie chicken and smoked sausage and you'll only need to follow the final step.
