LSU vs Alabama Charity Tailgating Fundraiser February 25 2014

Alabama fans and LSU fans unite their team spirit to raise money for the West Alabama Food Bank at a charitable tailgating party preceding the Alabama – LSU football game. Fans will be treated to sausage dogs from the Official Smoked Sausage for the Alabama Crimson Tide ‐ Polk’s Meat, Jambalaya from Louisiana’s own Jambalaya Girl of Cook Me Somethin Mister!, who will be cooking in her 100 year old, 30 gallon cast iron pot, and Coke products in exchange for any monetary donation made to the West Alabama Food Bank.

Hurricane Katrina Survivor Returning to Louisville to Show Gratitude August 29 2013

New Orleans, La – August 29, 2013 –In 2005 the devastation of Hurricane Katrina forced New Orleans resident Kristen Preau and her family to evacuate to Louisville. Now, eight years later Preau, who cooks under the moniker of Jambalaya Girl, is at the helm of a successful business selling her family’s jambalaya rice mix. She knows she may never have accomplished that goal if it weren’t for the hospitality of the residents of Louisville.
