Parade Food “Preau Tips”
- Keep it hot for the parade route – use an ice chest as a “hot box”. Package the hot cooked jambalaya in a to-go container or foil wrapped pan and place it in an empty ice chest to insulate it and keep it warm.
- Use a thermos to store the gumbo and keep it hot. No need to make extra rice, serve the Gumbo over the Jambalaya Rice for Gumbalaya!
- Cook the “Party Size” Jambalaya box for your krewe. It fits perfectly in an aluminum half pan.
- Quick ways to cook: Make ahead of time and microwave before heading out to the parade. Instant Pot. Rice Cooker. Slow Cooker.
