Slow Cooker & Instant Pot Gumbo and Jambalaya
Add some FLAVOR to your weekly menu with Jambalaya Girl's taste of New Orleans. Her Jambalaya and Gumbo are easy to make and even easier in A Slow Cooker:
GUMBO SLOW COOKER & INSTANT POT INSTRUCTIONS:
1 – INSTANT POT GUMBO
1 - Cook Chicken & Sausage in Instant Pot on Saute Setting.
2 - Add 4 cups water to Instant Pot.
3 - In a separate bowl, whisk Gumbo Mix with remaining 2 cups water until
Mix is dissolved.
4 - Add Gumbo mixture into Instant Pot, whisk to mix.
5 - Put lid on, set valve to Sealing.
6 - Set to Soup Mode.
7 - When Soup Mode is done, carefully turn valve to Venting for quick release.
8 - Shout "yum yum, come get you some!" Stir and serve or rice.
1 lb. Rotisserie Chicken meat, shredded
1 lb. Smoked Sausage, sliced
6 cups water
Follow the instructions on the box (boil the water, open the bag, give it a stir) and dinner is done!
2 – Jamburrito
Jambalaya and pepper jack cheese wrapped in a burrito then pressed on a griddle - a yummy idea for leftovers!
