Three Recipes for Leftover Turkey - Jambalaya, Gumbo & Yellow Rice November 21 2019

Leftover Turkey Gumbo

A one pot dish! Minimum 3 qt. pot recommended.

You will need:

1- 4oz. Bag Gumbo Base with Roux Mix

2 lbs. Cooked Turkey shredded or cut into bite size pieces

6 Cups Water

Makes 8 servings   

Steps:

  1. Add Turkey and 4 cups of water to pot and bring to a boil.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk Gumbo Mix with remaining 2 cups water until

    Mix is dissolved.

  1. Add Gumbo mixture to boiling pot and mix well.
  2. Return pot to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover pot and simmer for 20-

     45 min. to desired consistency, stirring occasionally.

5. Shout "Yum Yum Come Get You Some!" Stir and serve. 

Leftover Turkey Jambalaya

1-  8oz. Bag Jambalaya Rice Blend

1 lb. Cooked Turkey shredded or cut into bite size pieces

2.5 Cups Water

Makes 4 servings

Steps:

  1. Add Turkey and Water to pot and bring to a boil. Add Jambalaya Rice Blend, stir and bring back to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer on low for 25 minutes or until rice is tender. Remove from heat and let stand with lid on for 5 minutes.
  3. Shout "Yum Yum Come Get You Some!" Stir and serve.
